Futures Softball Instructional Leagues

The Colorado Softball Academy Futures Instructional Softball League is a development based, girls youth softball league based out of Northern Colorado. The Futures League is created by female-athletes who have played and coached softball at a high level and understand the need for an instructional based opportunity for our female-athletes to learn, play and develop at younger ages.

The ultimate goal is for teams to be coached by their softball mentors (local high school and college age softball players – this is where our older athletes continue to develop their mentorship, communication and leadership skills), under the direction of professional softball coaches and player development coaches. This league will have a consistent player development curriculum that will allow girls to learn the game, build a solid mechanical foundation at a young age, build confidence and ultimately HAVE FUN as they grow in their love for softball.

League information will be coming this fall with leagues taking place in the summer and fall of 2022! Age groups will include: 6U, 8U for 2022 and expand to include 10U and 12U in 2023.

FALL LEAGUE REGISTRATION

Fort Collins/Windsor/Loveland/ Greeley

Registration is now open! The regular registration period will run through July 17th at early bird pricing. Late registration will take place between July 18 – Aug. 31st. Uniforms are not included in the registration cost: you will receive a link to order your jersey in your registration confirmation email. You will need two jerseys (dark and light), which are $20 each. You can reuse your jerseys from the spring season.
Considering the fall league runs parallel with the high school softball season, we will rely heavily on parent volunteer coaches for this season!

The Colorado Softball Foundation, Inc. is proud to offer scholarship opportunities for kids in need of support. Our goals is to provide an opportunity for all kids to have access to this great game and the development opportunities it provides! 6U League Format

Early Bird Registration (ends July 17th): $175
Regular Registration (July 18th – Aug.31st): $190

The 6U League is for athletes ages 4, 5 or 6 (birthdays as of Jan. 1, 2022)

5 League Games (Sundays)
9 Total Practices (Wednesdays)
Schedule:
Opening Ceremonies – TBD
Season Duration – Aug. 31st – Oct. 16th
Practice: Aug. 31, Sept. 4th, 7th, 18th, then every Wednesday following.
Games begin Sunday, Sept. 11th, and take place every Sunday through the 16th.
End of Season Futures World Series Tournament (Double elimination) – Oct. 16th
Locations: Future Legends (Windsor), Resurrection Christian School, Colorado Softball Academy, Fort Collins Parks. **Locations subject to availability**
Practices will take place on Wednesday evenings. Games will take place mid-day on Sundays.
Games will be 1 hour and 15 minutes (finish the inning).
50 Ft. Basepaths
Instruction and development will be dependent upon how the athletes progress. Our goal is to start the girls on the tee and transition to coach pitch during this season! The athletes will learn a proper foundation of hitting, throwing and catching mechanics. They will learn the rules of the game, and learn different positions with a focus on FUN and confidence building. The 6U League is for kids just starting out. If your athlete has played before and is ready for 8U, they can play up.

8U League Format

If your athletes has played two seasons of 6U, or is an older 6 year old ready for the challenge, they can play up.

The goal of the FUTURES Youth Softball Instructional League is to have female-athletes, current and former players to coach the teams. As part of your leadership development, you will be trained by the CSA coaches to help prepare you to lead the next generation of ballers!
