FUTURES © Softball Instructional Leagues
The Colorado Softball Academy FUTURES© Instructional Softball League is a development based, girls youth softball league based out of Northern Colorado. The FUTURES© League is created by female-athletes who have played and coached softball at a high level and understand the need for an instructional based opportunity for our female-athletes to learn, play and develop at younger ages.
An additional goal is for teams to be coached by their softball mentors (local high school and college age softball players – this is where our older athletes continue to develop their mentorship, communication and leadership skills), under the direction of professional softball coaches and player development coaches. This league will have a consistent player development curriculum that will allow girls to learn the game, build a solid mechanical foundation at a young age, build confidence and ultimately HAVE FUN as they grow in their love for softball.
The NOCO FUTURES© League will expand in the fall of 2023 to include 6U, 8U AND 10U opportunities in the Northern Colorado area!

Registration is now open for the 2023 fall season! The regular registration period will run through August 31, 2023 (for 6U & 8U) and August 21st for 10U. Uniforms are not included in the registration cost: you will receive a link to order your jersey in your registration confirmation email. You will only need to purchase one jersey in the color that coincides with your team/region assignement. You can reuse your jerseys from the spring/summer ’23 previous season.
We do rely will heavily upon parent volunteer coaches considering the fall season takes place during high school softball. We will provide coaches training resources, equipment and practice plans, and coordinate your fields and umpires.
6U and 8U instruction and development will be dependent upon how the athlete’s progress. 6U and 8U games will consist of primarily coach pitch for 3 innings followed by a controlled kid pitch inning (8U only) to allow pitchers and hitters to develop! The athletes will learn and reinforce the proper foundation of hitting, throwing and catching mechanics. They will learn the rules of the game and develop more advanced skills of different positions with a focus on FUN and confidence building. The 10U League will serve as an introduction to competitive softball (a step above rec). 10U will be a full kid pitch league with modified rules from competitive leagues to ensure these athletes have a good understanding of the rules, while building their skills and confidence levels.
