FUTURES © Softball Instructional Leagues

The Colorado Softball Academy FUTURES© Instructional Softball League is a development based, girls youth softball league based out of Northern Colorado. The FUTURES© League is created by female-athletes who have played and coached softball at a high level and understand the need for an instructional based opportunity for our female-athletes to learn, play and develop at younger ages.

An additional goal is for teams to be coached by their softball mentors (local high school and college age softball players – this is where our older athletes continue to develop their mentorship, communication and leadership skills), under the direction of professional softball coaches and player development coaches. This league will have a consistent player development curriculum that will allow girls to learn the game, build a solid mechanical foundation at a young age, build confidence and ultimately HAVE FUN as they grow in their love for softball.

The NOCO FUTURES© League will expand in the spring of 2023 to include 6U, 8U and 10U development in multiple regions of the Northern Colorado area!

We do rely will heavily upon parent volunteer coaches. We will provide training, equipment and practice plans, but do need your help running teams.

6U and 8U instruction and development will be dependent upon how the athlete’s progress. 6U and 8U games will consist of primarily coach pitch for 3 innings followed by a controlled kid pitch inning (8U only) to allow pitchers and hitters to develop! The athletes will learn and reinforce the proper foundation of hitting, throwing and catching mechanics. They will learn the rules of the game and develop more advanced skills of different positions with a focus on FUN and confidence building.

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our 10U Competitive Development Program! We are here for YOUR player development. We strive to create opportunities for athletes in an environment that allows them to thrive. Each team will be created to balance the athlete’s skill set, commitment level and cost. We invite you to register for evaluations on February 11 th using the link below. During evaluations, there will not be any cuts and our staff will place each athlete on a team in accoradance with their skills set and goals. During registration, there is a $50 evaluation fee. This is nonrefundable and will be applied to your player fees once you are placed on a team. After the evaluations, each player will register for their assigned team.  10U uniform package is approximately $250.

The number of teams created will depend on demand and skill level. Our teams will use USA Softball Classifications B and C level. C-level is defined as the step above recreation and is the introduction to the competitive circuit. B-level is a team that is developing their abilities to compete and win tournaments but is not quite ready to compete at the A-level.

The Colorado Softball Foundation, Inc. is proud to offer scholarship opportunities for kids in need of support. Our goals is to provide an opportunity for all kids to have access to this great game and the development opportunities it provides! Please contact CSAF Scholarship Chair, Autumn Romero (aromero@cosoftballacademy.com) for consideration.
